Cork Airport plays host to the Irish Professional Photographers Association (IPPA) exhibition from today until June 5th next.  The exhibition is sponsored by Royal & Sun Alliance Insurance and the official opening will take place at the Airport this Thursday evening at 7pm.

Kevin Cullinane, Marketing Manager, Cork Airport, welcomed the start of the exhibition this morning: “We are delighted that the Irish Professional Photographers Association (IPPA) Exhibition has returned to Cork. The IPPA has long been associated with quality and expertise in the photographic arena and its current exhibition is further proof that the output of Ireland’s professional photographers continues to soar. Photographers often depend on large, established organisations to promote their work and to bring their images to life and it’s a real pleasure for Cork Airport to support our professional photographers on a local level”.

Paddy Clarke, President, Irish Professional Photographers Association, welcomed the start of the exhibition: “The IPPA is delighted to have our exhibition back at Cork Airport with the help of our sponsors Royal & Sun Alliance Insurance. Indeed, we are very proud of our long relationship with the Airport which dates back to our first exhibition there 12 years ago. Thanks to their assistance, our work is available for viewing by an international audience”.

The exhibition of photographs has been selected from over 2,000 entries submitted by the members of the Irish Professional Photographers Association (IPPA). The entries were submitted for the Annual National Photographic Awards and Photographer of the Year competition sponsored by Royal & Sun Alliance Insurance.

The Irish Professional Photographers Association (IPPA) has over 300 practicing members located throughout the country. The Association has been serving the interests of professional photographers and dedicating itself to the improvement of their standards in Ireland for over 60 years.
