September 9th, 2009. Low cost airline, bmibaby, has today announced a new route from Cork to East Midlands Airport.
Services to East Midlands Airport will commence on 18th December 2009 and flights will operate on Monday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday. In addition, extra services will be available over the busy Christmas and New Year period. The route is currently scheduled to fly until 27 March 2010, and bmibaby expects to carry over 16,000 passengers on the new route during the winter months.
Bmibaby is currently the only low cost airline to offer the service from Cork to East Midlands Airport, and prices on the new route start from just €24.99 one way including taxes and charges. The airline also flies from Cork to Manchester Airport up to five times a week, and prices start from just €26.99 one way, including taxes and charges.

during the upcoming Christmas period, allowing the travelling public to avail of
additional services during the busy festive season”.
