is delighted to confirm that from March 6th Aer Lingus will operate a new twice
daily service to London Gatwick.
Welcoming the announcement, Cork
Airport’s Marketing Manager, Kevin Cullinane said: “This is a huge boost for
Cork Airport at the start of a new year and a major vote of confidence in the
Cork region. I am sure the announcement will be welcomed by the travelling
public as well as by our region’s tourism and business communities. Cork Airport
has always sought to provide its customers with a choice of airlines and
destinations and this announcement is a further step in achieving
this”.
Aer Lingus Corporate Affairs Director, Enda Corneille said:
“The new twice daily service from Cork to Gatwick will give our customers more
choice and greater flexibility and, furthermore, ease of access to the southeast
of England. The new service will complement our four daily services between Cork
and London Heathrow and will further strengthen business, leisure and connecting
traffic between the south of Ireland and London”.
From March 6th,
the new service will depart London Gatwick daily at 6.50am, arriving in Cork at
8.15am and depart Cork at 9.55am arriving in London Gatwick at 11.20am. The
evening flight will leave London Gatwick at 5.50pm, arriving in Cork at 7.15pm,
with the return flight departing Cork at 9pm, arriving in Gatwick at
10.25pm.
Aer Lingus operates year round services from Cork to
Amsterdam, Barcelona, Berlin, Birmingham, Lanzarote, London Heathrow, Malaga,
Manchester, Munich, Paris, Rome and Tenerife, with seasonal services operating
to Alicante, Faro, Geneva, Lisbon and Nice.
